pet allergies.

hello everyone. sorry for posting so much. couple weeks ago my dog urined in my bed (on sheets and it went throught anti acarian  sheet then to the matress). i have been tested positive to allergies to dog but we bought a yorkshire which has ''hair''. my mom said it wouldnt give me allergies. by the way my mom always has to be right. i told her it wasnt actually the hair or fur the problem is mostly the dogs saliva and urine. and she continue babling bla bla your not allergic. so the dog got into my room withought me noticing twice. and peed twice... the first time about 1 month and a half ago and the last time 3 weeks ago about.i have washed my sheets regularly since then about 2 times per week but havent done anything really to the matress, because only a little went on it. we passed a wet towel on it thats it. and my concern is may this aggravate or make my allergies? also on my matress.. there r this dark marks from i dont know what, i think its from moving. its like dirt that wont go away really disgusting but it isnt near my head when i sleep. so can any of these cause allergies? cause as i jump into bed its like jumping into lets say a batlte field, i get major symptoms mostly to my eyes and face. thank you for sharing your ideas.

I haven't read any where that it says pet allergies are from urine but I did find that allergies are from dander and saliva.  The best bet would be to keep the dog out of your room if you can and replace the bedding and/or flip the mattress over if you can't afford a new one.  I know it's tough when you have a parent that insists they are always right but maybe you can show her this article from the Mayo clinic.  http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pet-allergies/HQ01204  If you've been tested and it showed positive for animal allergies maybe you can show your mom the results to have her believe you.
