Dry mouth allergies?

Im only 18 and I had this dry mouth problem. My mouth produces so little saliva that my mouth feels really dry. Even when I am drinking water it still feels dry afterwards. I don't have diabetes I already got a blood test, and just recently the doctor said it could be an allergy because my noise was dry and my mouth too. I haven't done the testing yet but does anyone know what is going on?

Well after the allergy testing it seems I am allergic to dust mites, cockroaches, and pollen. I will either have to take medicine or take allergy shots. I was never allergic to dust mites and I don't have any cockroaches in my house. It is quite weird.

Allergies can occur at any time even if you haven't had that particular allergy before. As for the cockroaches, you could've been to someone's house or a facility that had them and you weren't even aware of it - nor they. That's what makes allergies so frustrating, you sometimes just don't know how your body is going to react.

I think I have something similar. For me it is not so much a lack siliva as is it just not as slippery as it should be?

This also affected my dental health, siliva is dental protection. A good paralel is one I learned from swimming pool care. A 1/2 cup of baking soda can totally change a 30,000 gallon pools chemistry. That's a very small ratio. The same type of chemical change happens to me. I am fine and then someone comes past me wearing $3 worth of their favorite perfume and my mouth changes & neck muscles can draw up, glands around the ears & throat get swollen and sore. It was good of your dr to admit ignorance & refer you to another dr. Good luck.
