I was wondering if anyone has asthma from layrengeal reflux? I have just gone through some tests to check this out. My voice is raspy and I have pain and a lot of discomfort in my throat. I have shortness of breath most of the time, I was put on asthemax and flomax (I think this is what they are) and they don't seem to help much more then the flovent and serevent did. I can't take advair because it bothers my stomach for some reason. But I read up on some things about
reflux because the gastro doc thinks my asthma might be from the reflux. But no one seems to want to get to the bottom of this to give me relief from what ever it is.
If anyone has anything to share on these subjects I surely would appreciate it. I had a pH probe (which I will never have done again unless I am asleep) done last week stat. And had an endoscope and colonoscopy done the week before. The tech poked three times to try to get the probe down through my nose but couldn't so she tried again and she stuck it into my windpipe which I felt like I was dying from not being able to breath right. So when she took the probe out, my nose was bleeding badly. So now I am afraid I may get an infection in my lungs from the goop they had on the end of the probe and maybe the blood going down my windpipe.
I will get the results soon, I hope from these tests.
Please feel free to share if you experienced the astham from reflux.
