Hi Lyn and fellow carers. Lyn do you ever sleep? you seem to always be on the go. Take it easy for you and your Dad's sake. I feel a lot better to-day.One of my problems was my back hurt bad, I think due to lifting Jean before my ribs healed. I'm OK now after two days of exercises, it looks like I'll have to keep them up for ever. Not wanting another restless night I remembered the story of a man twisting and turning, when his wife asked him what troubled him. He explained he owed a sum of money to their friend's husband across the street, telling him not to worry she'd fix it.
opening the drapes and window, she shouted across the street. He friend
opened the window and was told "My husband owes yours some money and he hasn't got it." Bid her friend good-night, closed the window telling her husband he could now sleep, as it was now their friend's worry. I phoned Ireland last evening and let off steam then slept great.
I'm surprised how well Jean has recovered, I'll have to see if I can get some form of strap to keep her from falling to one side in the w/chair. I strap her legs and waist, now I have to keep pushing her upright. Love and take of you Dad. May your God go with you. Padraig
