Hello guys how's it going!!! I'm making it i guess!!! I hope everybody had a good weekend!!! my weekend was pretty nice!!! Of course i have a question! When do i not have a qestion?(lol) Well here it goes,everyone knows by now that i had an allergic reaction to paxil a few days ago.Well i talked to my doctor today and she wants me to come and talk to her tommorrow about starting a new med. I had been taking zoloft for a few years prior to the paxil that i was only on for 3 days.The reason I stop taking the zoloft is because within the last few weeks of taking it i felt that it wasnt helping anymore but i had been going through a rough time in my life.So it could have been me and not the medicine.In other words the medicine might have still been working but maybe i was just having more anxiety and stress than usual, so i felt like it wasn't working.Anyway the DR asked me did i want to go back on the zoloft or try something else? I need you guys opinions since your'e my new found family! Should i go back on the zoloft or try something else,she suggested Lexapro.Oh,i might need to add a couple of years ago my dr went up on the dosage of zoloft i was taking and i started having crazy thoughts,so i dont think getting back on it and going up on the dosage is an option! Please feel free to post your opinions and those of you that know anything about lexapro please give me some feedback! eyes

Hey there Panike,
Hello to you this evening.  I would go with a new med and Lexapro seems to work for many.  If you do not have an allergic reaction it will take 4-6 weeks for full effect but alot of people like this med.

I tried going back to an old one and it did not work the second time around.  Hugs to you and I hope you get this anxiety down to a low roar.

There is so many with great results with this med as Kitt has mentioned

Well, if you are worried about another allergic reaction, I would go back to the old one.  If another allergic reaction isnt a big worry, them maybe try something new.

Thank you so much guys!!! You all are so awesome! I did decide to try another med,celexa. Dont know much about it but my husband takes it for depression,he said he had very minimum side effects with it! And he thinks it works for him so i hope i will get the same results! I'll let you guys know! Thanks for the Good Luck badfish and i did get the job guys, i start tommorow. I'll tell you guys more about it soon!

I do not know any thing about the lexapro but I did take zoloft before and had many problems, I am sure you and your Dr. will find the right meds for you.  Good Luck and let me know what happens.

I have been on Celexa for at least 10 years now....Recently doc thought it might not be working as well so we tried Lexapro for a bit, and, as you know, I fell deeper into the pit. I am back on Celexa at a higher dose and have made it out of the black hole.

Congrats on the job......now I need to go find your other post to find out about it. I tell ya, girl, you are all over the place, keep me on my toes!!!

HI sue! Sorry,i have been jumping around alot lately!(lol) i hope you are doing good hun! So i guess the celexa does work well for you being that you have been on it for so long. My pholosophy is if it works stick with it,dont change it but i agree sometimes you just need a higher dose.I think after so long you build up a tolerance to some of the meds and have to change or jump up the dose.I'll be leaving for work soon,i'll talk to you later!

BabyT I am so glad to hear that you guys are feeling better,sorry it has taken me so long to post sweety! I have been thinking about you and your family though.Nown that you're feeling better,i had better hear from you everyday young lady!(lol) Just kidding i know we all get busy sometimes and cant post,i know i have been lately! The new job is still going good and the Celexa seems to be very effective. Thank you Kitt i think you are wonderful as well!!! My valentines day was good BabyT.The husband bought me some candy and flowers and a card and some bath and body works.How was yours?What did Brad get you and what did you get him? How is your baby girl doing??
