Greetings everyone,
I am new to this site, and just typing this message makes me feel better. I've been taking 50mg of Zoloft for 7 years, and I took Neurontin for 5 of those 7 years, both for anxiety. They were glorious for years, but recently I had a major setback. It hurts me knowing that for 7 years I was doing great...got married, had a baby, kicked butt at my job, and then all of a sudden, out of the clear blue sky, my anxiety returned for no good reason.
I immediately went to my doctor and she increased my Zoloft from 50mg to 75mg, and put me back on 1200mg of the Neurontin. She also wrote me a prescription for Klonopin at 1mg and told me that for the next 10 to 14 days to take 1mg per day. BUT, I chose not to do the Klonopin because I'm terrified of becoming addicted. However, not every day, but occassionally, I've taken the 1mg of Klonopin and it's worked very, very, very well for me...simply made me feel normal and operational.
BUT, I'm still very scared of it and just need some encouragement because, after 7 great years, my anxiety has come back and reared its ugly head. I wish I didn't have to take the Neurontin either, but that helps when I'm not, occassionaly, using the Klonopin.
Thanks for your support.
