Extremely worried about my Sister Friend

I am worried because she is taking a large amount of Pain Medication (Ultram) and sometimes mixes it with Hydrocodone.She already takes 4 1 MG Xanax per Day and depending how stressful her Day is may take 6 1 MG Xanax.She also takes Cymbalta for CFS and Phenergan for Nausea.

The past Month she is really bad to slur her speech,mumbles and shifts topics of conversation.She is so drugged,it is unbelievable!

She has a dependency problem and I'm afraid may accidentally OD.I have openly discussed my concerns.

I know you have posted about her before.  I think this is way over your head  if I remember correctly she has an abusive husband that she is not interested in leaving.

I feel you need to report what you are observing to her family or  your local vulnerable adult agency if she has no family. You would need to contact the Welfare Department in your area and report her as she is not in any shape to protect herself.  They must investigate any complaint that is filed.

I hope you take my advice to heart.

I'm ALWAYS worried about her.I've seen her so sick she could barely lift her Head and Arms.It's really doubtful she took my concerns to Heart because she will do what she wants.She sees several Doctors routinely.Her next Appointment is on Friday.I think her Psychiatrist suspects Dependency.Couple Month's ago she asked for 2 MG bar Xanax and got a order for a UA instead.Thing is she doesn't take 2-3 of the Medications her P prescribes,but eats the Xanax as if it were Candy.I am afraid her CNS is gonna shut down..

All I can do is be here for her.Yes,she is the Friend who has the Abusive Husband and won't leave.It's not that she isn't interested to leave,it's that she is hoping he will help get her debt knocked down before ousting him.

Kitt,I can't report to her Family or local Adult Agency.They are a "get on the defensive real quick" type People,and if I were to do that all h*ll would break loose.

Her Son,DIL and Adopted Daughter lets her do her own thing knowing she has a problem,but they have problems of their own.

Her Son is distrustful,leary and paranoid of everybody.Her Daughter won't keep a Job,is constantly in trouble with the Law (Tickets,Warrants) because my Sister Friend stayed with their Abusive Father.

Her first Husband Physically Abused her for 27 Years of Marriage and also hit around on the Kids.What made her finally get out of that Marriage is he put a Gun to her Head in front of their Adopted Daughter.

She Married her second Husband whilst Married to her first..her second Husband died about 5 Years into their Marriage.

She has some really severe "issues" that Years of Therapy isn't helping,but then again she refuses to stop living in the past.
