You are definitely not alone in this area. I would recommed getting into see your PCP and let him know what is going on with you. I did this and my PCP put me on an anti-panic medication (can't think of the name of it - generics have such long unpronounceable names) In short, it helped me tremendously. I am getting ready to go into my hostile work environment here in another hour. Have my pills with me and am sure that I will need them. I am not ashamed at all that I need to take a pill or two to stop my panic attacks, especially at work! The last time I broke down and cried at work was in front of my horrible, mean manager. That didn't go so well. Will not be doing that again. I'd rather throw a stapler at his head than cry in front of him again.
Wish me luck today. I will need it. I get to learn if I still have a job today. (long story - over on Crohn's board)

Hang in there sweetie! Come back and update us. I want to know how your day went. Go into work and knock 'em dead.
