Just wanted to share,
I gave up caffeine two years ago, and I haven't had a coffee in ages, but last night I stayed up all night finishing an essay and decided I needed a bit of a jolt to get me through a 10 hour shift at work (I seemed to suffering from temporary amnesia as to why I actually gave up coffee in the first place!)..so I was waiting at the doors of my favourite cafe at six am, got my cappuccino (bliss) and toddled off to work like a happy bunny.
By 10am I had taken 15mg of valium to control the shakes and was experiencing some of the worst free floating anxiety I have had in years. The sense of impending doom was horrendous. It's been 12 hours now since I had the coffee and I am still feeling shaky, nauseous and really anxious.
I know this will wear off, so it's okay, I just find it amazing that just one small change in my diet can have such a huge impact on my anxiety levels. It's quite scary really. Does anyone else have a food/drink that has this effect on them? I know that MSG (flavour enhancer 621) is deadly for me too..
