Dear Friends,

Everyday Good Stuff

We often waste way too much of our time and energy focusing on what we don't like, what we're worried about, or what we think needs to be fixed, changed, or enhanced.

There are great things happening in your life and around you all the time.

Celebrate the good stuff around us, in others, and in ourselves.  Everyone join in and post the good stuff happening in our lives. turn I know you have good stuff to  share.  We had a thread going awhile ago but with all the newbies I thought I would just start a new one.

The members all around me in this forum have been the good stuff and my support system for the past month as I went through family crisis.  It was always good coming here and knowing I was not alone.

My good stuff today was cheesecake with strawberries made by my granddaughters.  Yummy.

You up, let's hear about the good in your life.

 I have a lot to be thankful for.. like today I  have nectarines. to eat they will be out of season in a week or so. and I love to eat th em..  and also that I found a wonderful Bible study that I go to on tuesdays..........

That Kitt's man has come through surgery.

I am happy that spring starts tomorrow, Jasmine is blooming and my little kitten is out inspecting her new lawn..!

Good stuff would be another beautiful day here in the central coast, cats that sleep in the bed with me, very comforting, coffee this morning that gets rid of that morning headache I generally get when waking up, the 2 dogs I'll be exercising today that are slowly getting me back into shape and feeling better (well... after the soreness goes away - hee!), every day I'm grateful to be living back here close to my family, and I must say, just living with the beloved cat-beings - they are soothing and a joy and great comfort in my life. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh :o)

Nanners My good stuff could get better if you send your hubby to make me breakfast. shocked

My daughter offered to go to the grocery store for me today to pick up things I need for my hubby so I do not have to leave him alone.

The weather is beautiful and I can feel fall in the air. I love fall as it is my favorite time of year.

Life is good.  We can all handle those curve balls with the support of HW.

My good stuff is going to the local fair over the weekend. I sat around all afternoon and watched the gorgeous, enormous draft horses compete in their showmanship competitions. Then in the evening we watched the truck and tractor pull. Even the fair food behaved itself for me. (wicked grin, wiping brown hot dog mustard from chin) It's just so nice to let go and enjoy simple country pleasures sometimes.

My good stuff today is having my computer working again.  I was going into withdrawal without it.  Amazing how attached we are at the hip to these things isn't it.

Other good thing is being able to get back on here again.  I missed you all most of all.

My good is that a friend's new girlfriend who's visiting from the Gulf area was delayed on her return by the weather. So I got to hang out with the two of them and get to know her better. It's nice to see a happy couple falling in love.

A great partner that I live life with and play music with.

I leave for a weeks vacation in the Canadian wilderness in 10 days!!  Will be nice to be civilization free for a week. 

A good harvest from the garden.

A good laugh when our new kitty managed to climb the painting scaffolding to our 2nd floor porch roof and peeped inside our bedroom window all night - lol!!!

My Good Stuff today is my hubbie is making his own breakfast and I am letting him instead of hovering...............from here we go to having the catheter out tommorow.

My daughter and grandaugters have brought dinner over the last tonights and then we all played a game for awhile.

Life is good when you look for the good stuff in your day.

We had hot dogs, beans and potato salad at the rescue mission the other day. Potato salad was just like Mother use to make, it was real good.

I just got done harvesting half a bushel of fresh basil leaves from the garden. Sat on the back porch with the dog while I stripped the stems. Boy, does it smell heavenly!

The night jasmine has bloomed in my backyard and it's warm enough to open all the windows so that the smell wafts through the house..bliss.

Oh, wow, Meg! I love to sleep with the windows open. I grew up in the country, and hearing the crickets and peeper frogs at night is the most soothing lullaby ever.

Oh there is so much good stuff but I am a bit stuck right now.....my sister is not doing well, today they are going to do a cardica cath.

She also has a blood clot in her lung.

But the good thing is she is at the University of MN hospital which is one of the best cancer institutes in the Midwest.

My son called last night and he will be on the road again this week. I love to hear his road stories.  He will be in the Chicago area and then Detroit.

Megs is feeling better............that is really good stuff. 

All I need now is a honeycrisp apple.  turn

My good today is that my oldest daughter who has been taking medications too strong for her Fibromyalgia is now treating it with natural meds instead of the stupid Methadone her doc gave her. She has a very addictive personality and kept taking stronger and stronger meds. I too have fibro and am part of the fibro board here too and there weren't too many folks there on that type of med without other things serious medical problems too.

I am so proud of her. I was so scared for her. Its nice to have my girl back.

Oh and Kitt, no I will not share my hubby with you. I know what I've got and I am not letting this one get away at all. He is definetly just about everything good that is in my life. I am truly blessed.

What's a honeycrisp apple? Is it a particular variety or is it a way of preparing them (sounds like a candy apple)? I like winesaps myself, but they don't get ripe for another month or so.

My good is thinking about healthy, wholesome foods. Last night I made a giant batch of sauteed zucchini pasta sauce, thinking I'd freeze some. Nope - by tonight we'll have eaten it *all*!

Going good:

I play on an adult baseball team and we finished the season (yesterday) on a 5 game win streak and ened up with an 8-8 record. Considering last year we won only one game and lost 15- this was a huge step up.

I noticed this year when I played baseball, I didnt have nearly as much anxiiety during that time. I really should work out three time a week from now on.
