This is an anti anxiety med. Anyone ever take it? Any bad symptoms?

......Tranxene ( clorazapate) is a member of the benzo family
It is used for short term anxiety as well as Alcohol w/d

I have not taken this personally but I do know someone that was on it
it has been taken off the market in Canada
YOu can go to search engine above and find all you want about it or better yet it is goood to ask your doc as they are the pro's.......

clumsiness
dizziness or lightheadedness
drowsiness
slurred speech

NOT a professional opinion at all ........

Thank you Lyn!

I was just curious about it. never heard of it. My 4mg a day of Xanax works fine for me..though with Bipolar...the stress gets to me and meds are not a CURE ALL for anxiety. Xanax has been a blessing for 13 and a half years though.

Your lucky day............I took Tranxene for almost 15 years on a daily basis and I did great on it until I had my meltdown but I do not believe Tranxene was the cause. I was then put on Ativan and now use low dose Valium.

If your med is working for you I would suggest sticking with it. Just my 2 cents worth today. Take care and keep talking to us.
