Hi I'm new to this board but not to anxiety.I've been suffering from major panic attacks to general anxiety. My story is long so i won't bore you, but basically had some health issues about
an year ago, that resulted into major panic attacks.I went thru a awful spell where I was totaly off balance and felt like i had motion sickness , example like getting off an esculator or elevator and you still feel like your moving I had that constantly. I got better after physical therapy. It lasted for 5 months. In bed for 2 months So now it comes back , but this time not as bad and I think I could be causing it?????Can I have anxiety so bad that I can literly make myself sick again? I am very sensitive to my body, if an eyelsh falls out i'll feel it, I hate being so sensitive, every little thing drives me nuts. My sinus are bad, so when I have pressure I'll feel it so intensly. Just a few examples of my struggles. Can someone relate??? thanks hollygirl1

Welcome to HealingWell. Yes anxiety can cause physical sx but with your past history I would check in with your Doctor to make sure this is your problem.
Due you see a therapist. Being in a constant state of anxiety is not good and you must feel awful, please do persue the help of the medical field to get to the bottom of your problem.
We are here to support and share with you so keep talking to us.
Again, Welcome.

Tony is right on about
the CBT therapy. Talk with your physician and see if you can get into therapy.
There is a free online CBT, if you find you need the info it is posted at the topic under resources by Wen.
Take care.

People with anxiety are very in tune with their bodies. I'm the same way. It can be a good thing and it can be a bad thing. Are you having panic attacks or anxiety attacks? There is a difference which not everyone knows about
. The other replies here had some good ideas. Find a distraction and practice relaxation. Also, see a doctor to find out if you're problems are caused by anxiety or something else. Hang in there!

Hi Hollygirl123
Nice to meet you
I also go through this, and ended up bedrest for a couple of months. You really should see your PCP and get up and go walking everyday. It helped me so much
The best of luck to you!

Oh my you guys are quick to reply!!! thanks it feels great to have some support, to answer a few of your questions . Yes I have been to many doctors, I had many test done ,mri brain, cat scan brain, all levels of bloodwork, mri of cervical spine, middle spine, emg nerve test, eeg, echo for heart,i've been to two top ent docs and had all test done. So with that said I guess I'm healthy? I was on xanax for a year .25mg 3 times a day. it was great in beginging but this past january 2008, I started feeling off balance, my left side felt like it was being pulled to the ground, I had brain zaps (xanax does that)nausea all the time, couldn't walk right . I was prescribed Vestibular therapy after suffering with this for 5 months. Between the therapy and weaning off of xanax I started to feel better with in 2 months. Since June 2008 I've been healing. But since last month it seem it has returned. I do notice that my anxiety does make it worse. But when I'm calm i still feel this sensation of movement, or that i can't focus with my eyes, it seem if I get close to lets say a wall is in front of me well I feel a little dizzy and a quick feeling of nausea. At this time I take no meds!!! I'm am afraid to. I tried Lexapro wound up in ER with a bad reaction. I have looked into CBT on the internet, And i think it may help me.I feel like i'm losing my mind!!!! Anxiety is awful and I would not wish it on anyone. Oh to have my life back. Thanks to all of you for your support. I would love to continue to hear from everyone or even I can try to support others. Thanks again hollygirl

Thanks Niki for your reply. I also get very spacey. I'll stare at someone talking to me and not have a clue what they are saying. I'm just not in reality at that time. I hate it. And I can also think myself into some real dumb things. Obsessevive thoughts at times, thinking I have some weird illness or anxiety about
going to work or out shopping. I hate it. But at times I have to laugh at myself cuz why the hell would I think I had a tumor in my brain or something. Even after I had a MRI, got the results and it was clear. Its crazy!!!! Well thanks again and hope to talk to you and others soon. holly

It sounds like you have vertigo. My dad had it really bad from an inner ear problem. He was literally laying on the ground holding onto the grass trying not to fall off the earth. I hope you find your cause and cure.
