not really- work dominates my life cos of my poor physical health- HOWEVER: i am now on summer holidays for the next weeks! can you say party much? no, actually- sleep much?

time to rest this weary body, this weary soul...

I work at the farm and with my grandmother so I really have no choice but to keep going :) I don't know if we are really balanced although because it always seems like I'm working, lol!

  Not really, lol

  Dr visits, soon mri both with and without contrast, mra test, neuropsych test and more heart testings (oh joy) and of course more blood work and one more surgery on right arm next month to much to think about then work but my animals can't feed themselves

umm can you say no. I just feel like i'm working all the time. If not at my job then at home. I just feel like its never done eyes   I just feel like screamming confused

Good Morning

It’s so easy for work to trickle into every other aspect of your life, but people who are able to separate the two are happier.

80% of my life was my job and now that I have retired I am stuck as everything was tied to my job. For 3 years I get up in the morning and do not know what to do.

I am very unbalanced.   "Now there is a true statement" smhair

 I wish I could say I did but I dont, I cant drive alone, I cant walk far without panic, I pretty much go to the grocery store and come back home, I dont live I excist

Yes I am able to leave the job at that job, and when I am home I am home with the one I love.

Kitt,

My grandmother has such severe arthritis and she was telling me the same thing yesterday. Her whole life (grew up in the Depression), she worked the fields, worked for other people, etc. She is feeling unbalanced herself because she "was the job" for so many years until I took over the farm about a decade ago. She is mad because she can't do even do dishes anymore and is stuck in her wheelchair. I try to tell her that it is okay and that she earned her retirement, but I guess that doesn't make a difference when you can't get around like you used to. I am feeling this myself now that I've been walking with a cane for a few years now (my body decided to catch up with me:) lol

No matter what, we all have to keep striving. . . I just feel blessed that I still have the use of my legs even if painful:)

Sam, I can understand your Grandmother's feelings but tell her how much she helps by being there for you. She is a wealth of information and memories.

I'm another who wishes I could say I have a work/life balance but unfortunately work seems to sneak into my thinking somehow unconsciously even when I'm sleeping (nightmares these days about work).  I hope soon that things will settle down at work and I can separate my personal life from it.  Hard to do.

No I do not maintain a work/life balance. These days I have no life. Work too much! But the busier I am the better I usually do, mentally.

You know Skitt its my husband. He is so amazing, that when I leave work, all I can think about is hurrying home to him. I truly am so blessed with this man, I wish everyone could be loved as well as I am. It really makes a difference in my outlook. To be loved so unconditionally, even though I have Crohns and anxiety and am sick alot, his love and support truly is nothing short of pure heaven.

I pray for the same for everyone.
