As you guys know, im sick as hell right now. but i made a goal for 2009 to get moving and do gentle excercise especially for my fibro. We have a pool at our house, but its more like a swamp for amphibious life forms- so my awesome neighbours gave me their house key and free reign of their lovely, deep, long salt water pool.
So even though i feel like rubbish, i dragged myself out of bed and spent 1/2 an hour swimming- just doing laps and stretching and my fibro pain is loosening up already- and the salt water was good for my sinuses. i just made sure not to swim ultra deep cos of my ears, but i just wanted to share my little success- i hate excercise- except for swimming, and for my neighbours to offer me the use of their pool is so appreciated, and i have no excuse not to swim- seeing as how they are right next door!
So that is a little step in the right direction and im happy i did it. i will be going back tomorrow. did 30mins today, want to do 40mins tomorrow until im comfortable doing an hour a day.
i want to be WELL. i want to be fit. i need to take it gently, but im adamant that i will be more active this year. (and hopefully i will lose some weight!)
