I haven't had this happen on just one side of my body, but I have had numbness and "perceived" weakness in my arms and legs. I couple of times I also felt like my face was kind of numb. I was really afraid that I had MS. I've had an spinal MRI that revealed I have 2 disc herniations and spinal stenosis. According to the back specialist I went to it explains why I sometimes feel weakness, numbness and pain in my legs. I also had sciatica in the past, but last year I was having pain and numbness in the front of my thigh and the inside of my thigh. Physical therapy helped omprove this. I still don't have a concrete reason for arm pain, but the doctor had me do some quick tests to see if I had actual weakness in any of my limbs and I don't. She also ran some blood tests and I am vitamin D deficient. Apparently that can also cause you to have pain in the muscles of your arms. I personally think it's because I'm probably tensing them up a lot and I often have kids smooshing their heads on my arms
. If you haven't already done so, tell your doctor you symptoms and they will evaluate you and, if neccessary, refer you to the proper specialist. For me the scariest part was not knowing. I would rather have found out that I had MS and started dealing with it, then always be wondering. Also are you getting enough fluids? Dehydration will make your limbs feel weak and numb.
