Good Morning Family and it is finally Friday for the people working all week  smilewinkgrin

Confidence is hard to characterize but easy to spot. A person who is self-confident does not unrealistically fear the unknown and is willing to risk embarrassment, even when he/she is standing up for unpopular beliefs.

Very much so. Have always had a confident personality, i think as a child my parents referred to it more as "precocious" lol, but thats me. My self esteem isnt great when it comes to my phsyical body that has changed because of illness, but otherwise, very confident and very assertive.

I think I am pretty confident. Having lived with a chronic illness for so long has helped me I believe. But like Gilly there are times when I am nervous and shy.

I believe I have the confidence  to trust my  judgments' and ability. I sometimes just need to stay in the moment and not second guess myself.

I'm becoming alot more confident.  It's taken me alot of years and alot of re-aligning my thinking and undoing what family members did during my childhood, but I'm getting there.  I've got a ways to go, but at least I'm moving in the right direction now and it feels pretty good.

I'm not a very confident person at all. I wish I was. I've always let people walk all over me because I am not confident enough to stand up for myself. I do not like confrontation. I am working on this issue though. I've been trying to be more of an assertive person. :)

I feel like I am overall confident. I was especially confident in my job until the last year or so.  Now even minor issues cause exacerbation of my anxiety.

I am pretty confident but at times I can be nervous and a little shy :) I used to be like this for years, so it is hard to be confident all of the time :)

Hmm... Is it possible to be confident (most of the time with a few spots of no confidence whatsoever) and unassertive at the same time?

Because I think that's what happens to me....

I'm usually confident enough to talk to complete strangers.... Make a complete fool out of myself (on purpose, for the sake of laughs) for strangers, friends... anyone really... Answer questions in class.... Ask questions in class...

That sort of thing...

I had alot of confidence til I hit bottom but I have 99% of it back and working very hard on the 1% I will get there

I am not a very confident person.  I do question my decisions a lot and choices I make.  I am working hard to build my self-esteem.  Slow process for one who usually is in the background of most everything.  If I had to put a percentage on my confidence level it would be about 30-40%.

I'm not confident most of the time although I do think I gained a little more assertiveness after I had my son and had someone else to think about besides myself.  I'm working on raising my confidence and self esteem in hopes that it will lower my anxiety plus it's always nice to just plain like yourself.  :-)
