There are some discrepencies in the information being given out re PO Box Address to send any mail too.  Please do review the guideline of HW.

As many of you know on the Internet you really never know what is true and what is not.  This is especially true in the forums... While we should try our best to be empathetic and caring to others, the online community is not a replacement for the real world where you know first hand someone else's situation, problems, or experiences. 

It is almost impossible to "prove" what is true and what isn't, the best course of action is to be prudent and cautious and know the warning signs of someone that may not be telling the truth.   If you believe someone is faking an illness in the forums, alert your forum moderator.  Unfortunately there are people that will seek to manipulate your feelings for their own emotional or mental gain at your expense.  Please be aware of the warning signs to avoid being emotionally hurt in the forums and chat rooms.

Ok talked to the doctor.  He said she is making remarkable progress!  Can you believe that?!  His exact words!  "Remarkable progress"!!!!

 I'm so happy!!!!!!  It wont be too much longer and I'll be able to talk to her!  I cant wait until they let her wake up!!!  He said they will have her on alot of meds when she does wake up for the pain and stuff but, I just cant wait to talk to her!  I cant wait to be there for her every step of the way!  Some day we will look back on these days and just know!  I mean, I'll just know how important she is to me.  Maybe someday she will feel the same.  LOL, it was 2 dates and a bunch of phone calls, but guys you just dont know!  You'd have to meet her in person!

Garen i have some serious concerns: I am sorry if i am blunt.

1. why arent you in school?
2. why is Nikki's doctor confiding privileged information in you? you are not family. as an ex-nurse, i know that makes no sense and breaks patient/doctor confidentiality.
3. why are you still trying to control the adress, when Kitt, our trusted moderator has the information necessary to us?
4. you sound infatuated with Nikki. you have gone beyond the "loyal friend' part- would Nikki consider your 2 meetings 'dates'? she is 5 years older with you and has a child. she is an adult. i am concerned that you are not thinking realistically. im concerned you might be feeding off the attention your posts get
5. What kind of hospital lets a teenage boy bed down on the floor and sleep there for several nights? this is truly odd and confusing.
6. MOST CONFUSING: someone is posting AS Nikki on her Myspace page (she & I are friends on there) how is this happening if she is in hospital?
7. also- i dont think it is EVER appropriate to sign off as someone else "Garen & Nikki". Not your place. you dont speak for her.

 

I am sorry other members if you think im being harsh, its not my intention, however there are some MAJOR discrepencies in the many posts that have been made that have come to light and im trying to separate fact from fantasy. Because as Kitt mentioned, things can get taken out of context when on line.

I dont trust you. You have played us all. you KNOW what im talking about. i feel you have been caught out and im horrorfied that someone would go to such lengths to get attention. Nikki may well have been in a serious accident- your role in her recovery is what im questioning. And if she HAS been in a serious accident, i hate the way you have used it to bolster your own personal agenda.

I agree about the discrepancies and have had my fill of this manipulation to not only myself, but to all of the family I truly care about on here. The majority of us are busy struggling with our lives and have been attempting to lay down a foundation of trust/friendship to help heal our broken minds. It is impossible to do so when childish games are being played, preying on the innocent and caring members of HealingWell. This is so very hurtful, demeaning, disrespectful and all around bad taste.

I'm glad I am not the only one having red flags. . . And it is a shame. I personally would like to see some answers laid out for us, because that is the least we deserve after all of the support and dedication towards you, whomever you may be. You owe us the truth, so spill. . .

Ok, I have no idea what's going on as I'm not new to this forum, but definetly not an active member. The internet and forums ARE, indeed, full of lies, but are we sure about this one here? I mean, where is nikki? She clearly hasnt been posting? I do agree that Garen seems a little to crazy about Nikki, but I've witnessed people that meet online and become really close. I mean, I have no idea if this is all truths are lies, but do we know at least if the accident happened? I'm pretty confused but I don't think it's fair to accuse Garen like this.

She wasn't hurt that bad? I cannot believe this!!! How can you make things up like that? What is wrong with you Garen?! MY GOODNESS! I don't care how old you are, where you are from. This is UNBELIEVABLE! I'm sorry but I think I'm losing it. I cannot BELIEVE you made that all up! SHAME ON YOU! What on earth do you think you are doing, posting a story like that, about Nikki getting in an accident and being seriously injured!! I cannot BELIEVE every post you made was fake!! SHAME ON YOU!

I've been reading these threads about Nikki since the beginning, all I can say is, don't beat up too much on Garen. He needs help and obviously has an out of control crush/obsession with her. Let's hope he gets the professional help he deseparately needs.

 He has wasted all our precious time on this. We all have our own problems to deal with, we come here to offer real support as a family, and this kid posts this fake story about Nikki being severely injured in an accident. We think this is all true so we all get together and contact each other, seek ways to help, and offer as much support and comforting words as possible. We all have anxiety, depression and panic disorder. How do you think all of us feel when something like this happens? We already have enough anxiety in our life!

Again, Garen, shame on you. You have no idea what you have done.

I usually post on the Crohn's Forum. But I have been reading this thread everyday. Checking often for updates about Nikki. am so relieved to know things werent as serious as they were made to seem.But the lies and now lack of trust isssue are a big concern. I hope Garen gets the help he needs.It was a terrible thing to do to the other members of this forum. Take Care All.

Wow. For some reason I was skeptical of this in the beginning. Interesting. Garen, if you are indeed a 17 year old boy I hope you get the help you need and appreciate you coming forward with the truth. If you are really Nikki posting under another name, I hope you learned how much everyone cares about you and that you will also get the help you need.

To everyone else, please try to heal and move on and be glad no one is suffering in physical pain right now.
