Thanks Bro for posting this great question.
Honesty and integrity are defined as qualities that allow an individual to do the right thing as often and as much as possible, and when they have done the wrong thing admit to what they have done.
I was brought up with the belief that it is best to be honest and to admit when you make a mistake. Over the years I have found being around people that are not honest has brought me great distress and I have learned to let go of these people and continue to believe that there are good people in the world who adhere to the same values I do which include honesty and integrity.
"To be honest is to be real, genuine, authentic, and bona fide. To be dishonest is to be partly feigned, forged, fake, or fictitious. Honesty expresses both self-respect and respect for others. Dishonesty fully respects neither oneself nor others. Honesty imbues lives with openness, reliability, and candor; it expresses a disposition to live in the light. Dishonesty seeks shade, cover, or concealment. It is a disposition to live partly in the dark."
