Hi Everyone. My name is kevin and I am a newbe. I am 47 years old and have had anxiety attacks for the past 15 years. I live in Spain so excuse my spelling I have had 2 company's which due to the crisis have gone belly up. I have a great wife who is my world to me and adore her after 18 years married.......call me old fashioned eh!!. My anxiety attacks are evryday every 5 hours when I get dizzy, sweating, racing heart, loss of thought and concentration, pains in left arm, chest pain, stabbing pains in head etc etc. I am still on only 5mg's of medication as I don't want the tabs to take me over. I have had a good life with ups and downs as everyone has. I have no reason how my attacks started, which irritates me no end as if I could find the base I could maybe do something about
it. I am a photographer and work with video in HDV 1080i and this can be a pain at times as if I have an attack when shotting a wedding I can't run back home
. I have found that reading as much as possible about
this problem has helped e understand it and to some extent control it after being in observation 3 times over the past 15 years and 20 visits to emergency units where they are a bit fed up with me. It's the same old story eh!! 5 hours having every test under the sun and then feel great when you come out and then after a few weeks the symptoms overtake you and make you unsure again, the brain is the worlds best computer and plays the best games. As I said my wife has ben a great support to me everyday even with 2 company's going down the pan and bills around our ears she knows exactly when I am having an attack even when we are out, takes my hand and tells me come on fight it you can do it, she helps me through when I become unsure, god knows what I would do without her, does that seem wierd these days to say that?. I have joined these forums not to find help as such as I have mental control over mine most of the time and know the tricks anxiety plays and how it like to play with you and your weak points, mine!!, I think I am going to have a heart attack or stroke even thought my heart has had every test in the book in hostpitals and heart surgeons who have private practises, so I know it's not that. I also have 3 cracked discs, one behind my lungs and 2 in my neck. The ones in the neck cause dizzy spells and wobbly legs when walking and the one behind the lungs as this effects the nerves that run around the rib cage causes chest pains and pain around the heart. healthy kinda guy eh hahaha. Any I won't blabber on anymore. Just hope my 15 years can help some people here. Take care all of you. Kevin the anxiety chewer
