It took forever for me to feel the full effects of Lexapro, probably 5 weeks or so. It varies from person to person though. I would have good days and bad days when I started. Eventually the bad days become fewer and farther between.
Good luck with it. I hope the medication works for you.

I just started on lexapro and had it in the past. It does work and it will take a while for you to build it up in your system. The only side effect that I noticed is my sex drive took a dive and I was not intrested at all.

My SIL started Lexapro about
3 weeks ago herself, and although her panic is not 100% yet, she is feeling much better. Not sure of her dose, but it does seem to be helping her. Since its only been 3 weeks for you, I am sure things will start getting better within the next 2-3 weeks. Keep up the good work.

I cannot take Lexapro b/c it gives me diarrhea. My BIL takes it and loves it. He says that he feels so much better, he hadn't realized how bad he had been feeling. He calls it "sexy lexy". I hope it works for you.
