Hi, I have had the same issue you're having ALOT! I have heard that some short term memory loss is a symptom of anxiety. Really you're just thinking about
everything too much, most likely.
I posted on here once about
this problem and I some really good answers that helped me feel alot better. I also have been doing soe CBT and trying to turn my negative, odd thinking around.
Anyways my post was about
me feeling as if I was forgetting EVERYTHING while I was driving. Like I would forget exactly what happend 5 seconds before on the road. I thought I was loosing it or had a brain tumor or something insane.
Someone replied and said that in reality I was probably just over concentrating and overanalyzing(of course). It made alot of sense to me when I thought about
it, because most people don't normally even think of that.
They don't sit there and think, oh what did the road look like 5 seconds ago, or a minute ago, or 30 minutes ago lol. It made me feel kind of good about
myself to think I was thinking MORE than others and sort of thinking outside the box so to speak.
I know it's awful having those thoughts and feelings, but it's good to have a positive approach to them. It helped my break the whole process all together for the most part.
I also felt like time would speed way up or way down sometimes too(mainly while driving) and that's something else that kind of contributed to my memory loss cause I was freaking out about
that. It all ended up just being anxiety.
It's good that you're going to your doctor and I hope everything turns out fine.
It should give you some sort of relief to know that you're in good shape.
Good luck and I hope you start to feel better.
