Anyone else have a "simple" phobia?

My big phobia (besides working secularly, commitment, etc....LOL!) is TREE FROGS!!! I am terrified of them! I would literally rather face a rattlesnake than a tree frog! I have recurring nightmares about them...I live in Florida where they are plentiful. They creep me out BIG time! We used to live in the woods and they'd get in the door cracks. There would be 5 in one door sometimes! My dad or sister had to get them off and occassionally my mom would use a broom...scary! When we moved to town, I was so relieved! There's seldom any frogs around our area, but the office complex where we clean has them around sometimes...I wish that I wasn't so dadgum afraid of them! My life would be lots easier! We actually get up one doctor's trash at the complex so that we can have a key to his office (we don't work for him) as his front door is less likely to have frogs around it! BAH!!!

there were bats constantly in there

i can handle every creature cept bats n coca roaches....uggggggghhhhhhhhh they are so gross

Just so everyone will laugh, I'll tell you my phobias:

Lightening ( I get so scared I run for my teddy bear from childhood and under the covers)

The dentist Chair- I just cant stand it flipping backwards and I fly in a reflex, and usually hit the instrument tray so everything gets flying around. I'm now usually given valium before going in.

Airplanes- I can't stand the take offs and landing, I think I am free falling.

Heights- I think I'm gonna fall like crazy


And finally, a recently cured phobia:

Crossing the street.

Hey, it isn't as funny as that one sounds. I became terrified to cross a street and I still have some set backs. This phobia devoloped after I was physically hit by a car while I was in a cross walk with my light. It took me quite awhile before I could cross the street byself. I freak out when a car comes at me now but at least cross byself.

Kitt!! hugsssssss. How are you? I could cure you of your fear by making you meet my dentist. He's unbelievably way to compassionate for a dentist or any doctor. While he's injecting the numbing stuff that hurts beyond belief, he goes "I'm so sorry honey, oh sweety just a little bit longer its almost over im so sorry sweety" over and over. He's just way too compassionate for this job. I laughed at him last time I was in. The nurse told him that she signed him up for some rotating care with children. And he freaked out so much saying he couldn't and he'd be scared with the kid. I flat out told him, "admit it you'd cry with the kid." He actually was dumb enough to agree with me that he'd cry with the kid. Then the nurse was "well I'm glad I didnt sign you up now." I just love torturing him LOL!

Smurf, when it comes down to it, I also believe that no phobia, no matter how weird it may sound, is funny! Phobias can cause car accidents! For example, if I was driving and a frog got on me, well, it would be terrible in more ways than one! And I absolutely hate for anyone to scare a person with something that they're genuinely afraid of. A person could truly have a heart attack and die! It's been known to happen. I'd NEVER want that on my conscience! I never laugh at pranks where people put fake spiders, snakes, etc. on people or sometimes, even the real things! Makes my blood boil!

Bsmooth, I know a woman afraid of clowns. I'm not afraid of them, but never thought they were funny either. And to be honest, it's not too far of a stretch to wonder what some of them are trying to "hide" behind their makeup and or masks and I'm not talking about scars or acne! I'm talking about people like John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer. Behind the paint was a very twisted wicked man!
