The best thing you can do is see the urolagist. That way you will know for sure one way or another. Be careful of surfing the web. It can cause unnessary stress on you. I hope that everything comes out okay. But do see the doc.

Hello, I have a problem with obsessively looking online doing what I think is research, but it always turns out to make my anxiety MUCH MUCH WORSE! More than likely your anxiety is kicking in full blast and you have no medical illness...the best thing to do is make yourself calm down and see doc ASAP -- that way you will know for sure, and it will ease your mind. You could deal with any outcome AFTER seeing the doc, dont diagnose youself first without proof. The internet is full of so much negative information, and you could actually have a urinary tract infection that is simply cured by antibiotics -- I am no doc -- but my grandfather is your age and he worries about his health and this happened to him, so I urge you to take deep breath call doc as soon as their office opens, you can go and see a family physician for a urinary infection -- try really hard to not think about it right now until you can get results from the doc -- your mind can make you feel sooo much worse than things are....if you are a man of faith, say prayers for healing, and I will do the same for you anyway.

Hi Parz and welcome! So many of us have health anxiety here, you are certainly not alone. Most of us have also made the mistake of symptom searching the web! I can sort of laugh about it now, because I'm pretty sure that if you input any complaint, you would, according to the medical site be expiring from any number of fatal diseases! I have been where you are however, so I know that you are not laughing at the moment.

I have had the unrelenting worry and constant dark fear of health anxiety, and it is horrible. First let me tell you that with each UTI I have had, I get blood in the urine. TMI alert! Once when I gave my sample to the nurse, she looked at me and asked if it was my 'time'. It was not...that's how much I was bleeding from the infection. It was always cleared up with antibotics, and I eventually 'grew out of these' (haven't had one in over 5 yrs-knock on wood!)

So with that said, time to tough it out, and make that appointment. Once you are there, you may want to ask your dr. for a referral to a therapist to help you with your anxiety. I have had such an amazing recovery going through it! You don't need to live with this level of fear. Of course everyone gets anxious, but when it interferes with being able to do things that are necessary, like going to the doctor, it is time to consider getting help.
