DG, I have been on Zoloft off and on for about
10 years now. I am just starting back on it for about
the 4th time now, 7 days in. I have all of the same symptoms, but there is one thing I heard, and I try and tell everyone who has a problem with the start up side effects, especially the increased anxiety/panic attacks. There is a psychiatrist that stated "if anxiety does briefly get worse at the start of treatment with an SSRI, this can be a good sign that the depression and anxiety will ultimately respond well to the treatment." So please don't give up, give it some time. Ask your doc for some xanax or ativan to help you with the side effects you are experiencing. Alot of doctors already know to do this in the beginning, but some don't. It really does help. That's what i'm doing, and I have very minimal side effects at this point. The side effects are at their worst for like the first two to three weeks and then they start to subside. Good luck with your journey, and God bless! Fox
