Hi NG, how are you feeling now? I am sorry that you are having a rough time of it at the moment. We are here for you, and like I said before, you can e-mail me, or we could set up a chat time if you'd like
I can 100% assure you that YES anxiety does indeed cause very real physical symptoms.
It may start in the brain, but the anxious thoughts create disruptions in our sympathetic/autonomic systems that can result in incapacitating symptoms! I have heard/read about
so many that I can't even name them all. I personally have experienced many of them myself.
I know that it is hard to wrap your mind around...how can anxiety cause me to feel this off/bad/sick/out of control...but trust me, many of us have been dealing with this for years as Fox said...and we are still here to talk about
it. We didn't have some dreaded disease after all!;p
You are going to be allright. Stay the course on whatever treatment that you are working on (therapy, meds, self-help books/videos, ect.) If it helps, there is a great site that lists just about
every anxiety symptom out there. It may be of some comfort to see the list, here it is:
www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms.shtml
I hope that you have a peaceful rest of the evening, and do post back soon and let us know how you're doing, and if we can help anymore
