huskergrl,
I am glad to hear your anxiety has decrease and your medication is working.
TMJ problems involve the area where the lower jaw joins your skull, by your ears. When your temporomandibular joint is out of alignment, it causes the muscles in your face, head and neck that surround the joint, to strain at everything they do. Even while at rest, the muscles are having excess stress placed on them because of the misaligned joint. When the muscles are constantly strained or contracted they can cause tension headaches, or TMJ migraines. Heat or cold applied to the headache area may ease your pain.
The pain and discomfort caused by TMJ may be mild or moderate to severe. It can also be intermittent or constant and may last for many years. I would also suggest you see your dentist re your TMJ.
I hope you keep checking in with us as we are here to help and support you.
Kindly,
Kitt
