Is my blood pressure too low??? Please advise

My BP while sitting is 114/76 pulse 73
My BP while standing is 96/67 pulse 83

Is this ok???

I feel so dizzy! Been feeling dizzy all day! Laying down is the only position in which I don't feel dizzy. Sitting position is so-so and standing more than five minutes is unbearable. I feel like I'm gonna tip over.

Height 5' 7"

I have PVCs everyday throughout most if the day and taking no medications whatsoever.

Ya that blood pressure seems normal! I used to get dizzy all the time too and they always were like go check your blood pressure eneded up being panic attacks!

I know how you feel, my bp is 100 over 65 normally, and now that i am in the hospital i can't get it up pass 90 over 60. everyones bp is different but i know when i'm having bad panic attacks i get dizzy sitting or standing. I wish i could give you better advice i just can tell you how it is with me. hang in there and try doing some deep breathing i didn't think it would help but people kept telling me to try and it actually works, someone told me to breath in good thoughts and breath out the bad and so far it is working.     your in my thoughts Rose smilewinkgrin

Yes I have GAD and Panic disorder. I get panic attracks at least 5 times a week sometimes more. I never leave my house except to pick my daughter up from school and then straight back home. Supermarket is a nightmare! I cannot stay there more than ten minutes. More than once, I have walked out with all my stuff at the register. I couldn't stand one more minute. It's terrible. This bP thing is driving me nuts. For weeks now... My Sitting BP has been low like 94/62. So I didn't even take the "standing" BP cause I was scared. :(

Vee, 114/76 is very good blood pressure. You should always take your blood pressure sitting down. I've never heard of people taking it while standing. That may have something to do with it. As for the dizziness, it is probably happening because you are standing up too quickly, and the second blood pressure you listed can do that to you, seeing as how it's on the low side. But I wouldn't worry too much about it, after all i'd rather have BP that was on the lower side, than have high BP any day.

You're pulse rate is also good, I wouldn't worry about that at all. But if you are concerned, and it will make you feel better, i'd suggest putting in a call to your doc and getting checked out. It will probably ease your mind. Take care!

I agree that 114/76 is good. But I'm telling you, that's only today. For weeks now my BP taken while sitting has been readings like 92/60, 94/65, 98/67, 99/64. Like that. Everyday, all day. The "highest" it usually goes is 104/65, or maybe 108/69. I'm thinking that today it was "high" cause I had a wave of panic attacks today. (that's what I call it when I get at least three in one day). Again. On no meds. My psychiatrist refuses to give me any Xanax or klonopin, or anything of the sort even though I took those mess for years. He Only wants ne taking an SSRI. We've tried paxil, lexapro, zoloft, Prozac, effexor, buspar, cymbalta and another two I can't remember the names. All these mess did not agree with me!!! They all increased my anxiety! And some Gave horrific palpitations, night sweats and nausea.

-you are so not alone, i can't tell you how many times i have left a grocery cart full of food at the store. i am just learning how to leave my house after 5 years with the help of therapy, meds and the strength i get from everyone here. i still can't go anywhere unless i am 10 minutes from a hospital or home, forget driving. but i am slowly getting there!!!!! keep posting everyone here has been there are knows someone who is there. when i first started posting here i really thought i was the only one who had panic like me. there is something very healing knowing your not alone. this forum has really saved my sanity and i don't know what i would do with out everyone here.  this is me most of the time smhair smhair    lol, Rose

Rose, it seems we have MuCh in common!!!! It's just so crazy the effect this has on my life. I'm 35 and I've never driven a car. :( I Have three children... Ages 14, 10, and 15 months. I need to be well!!!

Vee, i know it's hard to believe but you will get well, and so will I!!!!! if you look at my proile i believe my e-mail is there so f you want you can write anytime. who knows maybe between the both of us and everyone here will be soaking up the sun this summer:) not that i ever lay in the sun but i think you know what i mean. keep your chin up and like i said i was freaking out over my bp and i am in the hospital where i have nurse and docs i just run low. when people replied to my post on my bp i was amazed at how many had the same thing.        Rose
