I have had contacts for years. I would have to say almost 10 years! And i recognized mostly today, that my contacts make my eyes Very sensitive therefore I over react in public and have anxiety attacks. Plus, i get stared at by people a lot due to my increased social anxiety about
my eyes.(please if you or your family member complains about
this, please understand it may very well be there sensitivity to contacts and it's no joke! listen to them and understand where there coming from it is a phobia that can develop by your eyes always hurting it's a no joke thing! please be respectful and understand!) I am now looking into getting lazic eye surgery. Hopefully I can find a doctor who can do this for pretty cheap. It dawned on me that I truly have a major problem with my eyes and it's ruining my life! It has been for years, it can cause a lot of mental problems to yourself as well. And it's not you a lot of the time. Im sure a lot of people are dealing with this except they dont recognize this for being just it. You feel like your a little weaker and more prone to harmful thoughts about
yourself because of it. I truly believe it has plenty to do with my contacts. Im overly alert
and aware of my problem with how the contacts make my eyes feel. Because, when I take my contacts out I no longer have any irritation what-so-ever. It has very little to do with my not being able to see far distance. But simple as being at the computer and it feels no more pain, no more anxiety,no more self worries that shouldnt be there in the first place. I think I would be much happier, and carry myself a lot easier if I got eye surgery. No more worries and more time to think about
whats really going on out in the world and not what my eyes are doing CONSTANTLY!!!! I also think people can sense your eye irritation but it's nothing you can do unless you get the surgery. Maybe they dont ever notice but the phobia is there because your in constant worries about
how its making you feel about
yourself. I went bowling earlier today, I know this sounds like a dumb story but here me out. I went bowling and this one guy kept staring at me. and really gave me a bad vibe. If people see that your vulnerable they are discriminatory to others. they dont realize its not something you can help. So, I say to all you fellow contact wearer's to get eye surgery it's worth the risk! contacts drive me insane! Look around you, look at the people who are paranoid ask them if they wear contacts i bet they will tell you they do. just saying i might be wrong but in my case thats all my problem is, i know it! Thats all. I think for the mean time, I will have to start wearing glasses part of the time and some semi-attractive not the ones which cover your entire face up but possibly some frames that will blend into your face more because it will feel better on my face too so they are less noticeable. It will be better for my eyes wearing glasses !I really wish I could tell people about
this and make it widespread. contacts are VERY bad for peoples eyes and causes MAJOR mental problems!! mental problems like you wouldnt believe! It has been getting under my skin for a long long time and has probly been the root reason for bad relationships with people, it was not really my fault though. something i couldnt help thought i tried to always figure out what was wrong with me! anyways thats my two cents, i figured it was worth sharing. Thanks for listening and hop you take this into SERIOUS consideration, at least get glasses and then mvoe to workign on getting eye surgery. Take care and god bless!
