Does anyone know if you can take Cipro with Zoloft and Xanax?

I know this may be TMI, but I was taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection, well we all know what happens when we take an antibiotic sometimes....Yep! A yeast infection. So I pretty much got all that cleared up, and now i'm getting a bladder infection! smhair

I can feel it, i'm running to pee more and also getting the pain at the end, and I want to catch it before it gets worse because I always get blood in my urine with a bladder infection. shakehead

 I have some Cipro from the last time I had one, but I wasn't taking any of these other meds then. Can I take it? Does anybody know?

IDK, and I wouldn't without asking a doc or pharmacist...or you could try the above link

But maybe try the cranberry cure first, or you may get in the antibiotic/yeast/bladder infection cycle all over again.

I recently got cranberry pills, and a liquid called Cystex, which is concentrated cranberry and antioxidant in liquid form, you take two tbls a day.

I hope that you feel better soon, UTI's=no good!

Thanks SC, I ended up calling the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist, because guess what appeared shortly after I posted this.......the blood! I knew it, it happens EVERY time I get a UTI.

For some reason there are absolutely NO symptoms and then all of the sudden you get wacked, and there's blood almost immediately. Thank God I knew what it was, and it has happened every other time I had one, or that would have sent me over the edge with the "what if's", and we all know how pleasant that is. Haha!

This is a pain in the butt! You think you're done with one thing, and then another thing shows up. It's never ending, like this darn anxiety BS. LOL!

Now i'm due for my friend anyday now too. Oh Joy!

I am so sorry Fox! It is definitely antibiotic time for you then. I get the same thing if I can't manage to stave it off with the cranberry.:(

UTI's seem to run in the family. My mom takes cranberry everyday as a precaution...and used to take a low level antibiotic as a precaution (a single dose) after, uh, doing the thing that sometimes causes these. ;p

I really hope that you feel better soon, and that you don't get any antibiotic s/e's. However, make sure you take the whole course! You don't want it coming back on you.

Also, have you tried, I think it's called Azo, or something like that...it's like OTC Peridium...totally takes the pain away!:)

Yep! I had some AZO pills, but the last time my daughter was up, she had a UTI and I gave them to her. I suffered a little bit last night, but after taking a 500 mg tab of Cipro, I woke up this morning with hardly any pain, and no blood! YAY!

I went to the ER one time because I never had blood in my urine, thinking I had something really bad. The nurse that took my "sample" asked me if it was "that time of the month" because it was RED. I told her nope, that's just urine. So now every time I get a UTI, I get blood immediately for some reason.

They also gave me exactly THREE 500 mg Cipro pills and told me that it would get rid of it. I was thinking to myself, how in the heck are three pills going to clear a uti, but it did!

Feeling better today after dropping back down to 100 mgs of Zoloft too, just thought i'd update you on that also. ;)

Oh and Kitt, if you read this, do you know why they only gave me three Cipro? And how it totally takes it away after three doses?

Sorry that my reply is a bit late, but I have been very busy. I read both of your posts and I have to tell you that the combination of things that your body is going through at the moment really SUCKS !!! Hormones crazy out of control, yeast infection, and too much caffine, and change in meds. OMG , I would be over the edge too. I hope that you find relief very soon. Also I just wanted to tell you that whenever I start to get sick or an infection my body flips out !! shocked My anxiety increases 10 fold, then comes the "what ifs" followed by PANICK sad . I know how you feel and can only tell you that it will pass. Going back down to 100mg on your meds. will hopefully put your mind a ease !! Try to stay calm and relax your mind. You are not alone.
