Hello and welcome to HealingWell. I am glad you found us.
I was on Effexor at 150 mg but weaned down to 37.5 and then was switched to Zoloft. I really think the Effexor LA was the better of the two meds but I hated the weight gain from Effexor. Effexor is often the answer to people with depression but of course each person reacts to the meds in their own way. If you got 7 years worth of relief from panic from Effexor I think that is great.
I started on the Zoloft in December and have been bumped up twice to my current dose of 100mg - like you my moods have been all over the place and since December I feel like I am drowning yet one more time.
I have a 30 year history of anxiety and depression. You posted, " I cry uncontrollably and feel like I want to run away." My exact words to my hubby and Pdoc. I know you cannot go backwards but I hope that I will soon feel like I have some joy back in my life. I mentioned to a friend that I would just like to run away and she remindedme that our problems come right along with us no matter how far we run.
Work hard at therapy and keep on believing that you will get better. We can never give up hope.
Kindly,
Kitt
