I spent today on a girls day out. We started with coffee then some op shopping (translation: short for opportunity shopping. usually refers to going to charity, second hand or recycled clothing stores or markets. lots of fun even if you don't find anything, saves money and helps the environment and local charities) then lunch. I had some very mild anxiety before I left home but most of the day went smoothly :) I think it helped that the friend I was out with understands what I'm going through. Her Partner has anxiety issues and she has her own health issues that can make things difficult for her sometimes. Another little victory yay:)

Fun day!!! I have never heard the term OP Shopping before...we just always called it 'thrifting', Lol! Your descript
ion sounds better.:) (My Christmas out fit this year included a long Thai-silk skirt from a second-hand charity shop!)
I am really glad that you went and had a good time. I am sure that you will continue to have more fun outings, as you are taking the right steps to feel better and getting stronger with each one.:)
Talk to you soon,
S.C.

That's great! I hope you have many more days just like this! It's always great when other people understand, as well.

Good for you and you had fun. You worked through your anxiety without letting it take over and you had a friend who understands anxiety. Pass go and collect $200.00

It really does make a difference going out with someone who understands. It takes some of the pressure off know if you suddenly have to leave or have an attack you don't need to explain things. I also work with her so I having that support at work helps too.
Sounds lovely SC. A large part of my wardrobe is made up of op shop clothes especially my work clothes. The trick is to go to places in higher income areas. they seem to have the best selections. Also if you go in regularly you are more likely to find those great buys.
