Chest pain, feeling light headed...

Well, I hope everyone has been having a good weekend so far. Yesterday was great - went to a party and had more fun than I thought I would. When I got home, I decided to take my Lunesta and watch a cartoon before bed, just to put me in a good mood.
Well, before I even took the pill, I began to feel very light headed and have this odd chest pain. I yawned and suddenly became extremely dizzy. I figured it was because I was tired, but I started to panic a bit. When I finally took my pill and went to bed, I started to have really strange, really vivid dreams. My body still felt light and my chest hurt, and all around, I was very disoriented. It was extremely terrifying and it felt like a combination of a panic attack and being tired. I can't really explain it.
I woke up this morning and felt the pain in my chest again and this unreality. I currently feel really dizzy and light-headed, and I don't think it's the Lunesta...I could be wrong, but I don't know. This is really upsetting to me because I have an interview for a local job today and I can't shake the feeling! Has anyone else ever felt this way?

Thanks, SC...I'll be sure to call my doctor first thing tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I thought it may have been dehydration since I didn't drink that much last night...
The interview went well I think; I've learned to hide my anxiety surprisingly well, it's almost scary.

It does sound like you were having an anxiety attack as you had not taken your Lunesta and I agree with SC, perhaps it is time for a check up to rule out any medical problem that may be causing the chest pain.

That being said I was on Lunesta in 2005 - many moons agao :).  The first dose I took did nothing to help me sleep and the second night I took it found it helpful in sleeping.  But the second time I was blessed with terrible vertigo that hit me suddenly and I could bearly make it to the car as I called my hubby to come and get me at work.  I could not even sit up as the room was spinning and I would start to feel faint.  I had to crawl to the bathroom.  My daughter came over and called the Drs. office and they told me to take more of the antivert (Meclizine) I had already started on my own and if it did not get better to bring me to the clinic for a injection for the severe vertigo.  And how was I going to get to the clinic when I could not sit up ?? 

So I upped the dose of Antivert and by morning it was better but I stayed home from work. 

That is my story of Lunesta and I am sure for many this drug works well but for me it did not.
