Hi evertyone
I finally
opened up to my partner last night and told her how I feel and what's going through my mind after 3 months of hell I just couldn't keep in no more I was amazed at how she listened to me and I'm not gonna lie we both had a little cry she held me so tight and said "you aint alone no more and we will get through it together" and this morning I finally got out my pjs and got dressed and left the house for the first time in three weeks I walked to the shop with my son and although it was hard and my anxiety was screaming to me to turn around and go home I didn't I made it there and back and even though I know the battle is far from over I know that the smallest steps make the biggest differance.so to all the people out there suffering with this monster they call anxiety please don't make the same mistake I did and suffer in silence just find someone anyone a friend, collegue, family member or just come on this forum and
open up and finally realise YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Well done lennon70, this is a huge step in your recovery, I know that it was in mine, talking therapy's are very good and sometimes we need medication along with this. No one likes taking them, but the aim is to be able to carry on with life without anxiety controlling us any longer. Good luck with your journey. :)

Hi Lennon,
Its good to get it off your chest right? A problem shared is a problem halved and all that. Talking about
your anxiety with those closest to you makes a big difference. It helps you understand yourself more and gives you a chance to vent your frustration, all of these things allow you to alleviate some of your anxiety, and will ultimately help you get better. You have taken a step in the right direction! Well done for that. Like you said, it is the small steps you take that get you there in the end.
Feeling like things are not real is another of the many anxiety symptoms there are. When I had a relapse, my symptoms were different, weird! thought I was going to go crazy or at least I developed a huge fear of this. When I followed a link through this site I was literally amazed at how many different anxiety symptoms there are.. fear of this ...fear of that, and all kinds of other stuff! No wonder people dont know whats wrong with them!..... I hope you recover soon and let us know how you are getting on.

You are absolutely right about
small steps making a big difference! Those small steps are all going in the right direction, your recovery!
High fives!
...and doing the happy dance with you.:)
Keep up the good work!
