First of all, it sounds like you have some good and understanding friends and family--even if they don't experience the same troubles that you do, at least they attempted to understand and didn't dismiss you.
I'm not familiar with what exactly your anxiety problems are (like if you just have generalized anxiety, or social, or if it is to stress or even violence or what not due to the film). Either way, though, it is rather normal to have times where you just aren't having a good 'day' or are having some increased anxiety or trouble dealing with it. If you have increase in pay, a better social life, and feel like you 'have things together' overall, then it sounds to me like maybe you just had a 'bad day' or a down swing with your anxiety where it has gotten worse but maybe not long term again. So I would try not to put yourself down about it, or assume the worst and that your anxiety is going to rule over you again due to that one night. Just try and take things slowly and remember that most of the time, these problems are something we have to deal with on a daily basis and so it makes total sense for them to 'get the better' of us now and then. It doesn't mean that you're doing poorly, or that you are having a break down necessarily, it could just mean you're having a bad day!
So I do hope that's the case, and that you have reduced anxiety and continue to feel like you have everything together and going well in your life. Please let me/us know how you do! :)
