Sometimes, when working on an issue, things might seem to get 'worse' before they get better.
When you are in therapy, you are examining the problem, and it is upclose and right in front of you...it must be faced to be dealt with afterall. This is actually good, because we can't let the issue hide or be pushed away and ignored.
It is at the forefront of our thoughts for a while though, and that can cause feelings of discomfort. However, if you can get through this period, then the work can get underway and the healing benefits begin.
Even though it did not seem to help you before, I would really suggest trying therapy again. Your medication is going to help you to feel better certainly...but to get at the root of your issues (and possibly even be free of some of them!) therapy is the best way to go.:)
I wish you the best in whatever decision you make...and keep posting!
