Hi and welcome!
I am glad that you have decided to post with us.:) I am sorry to hear that your anxiety is causing you so much misery. I know how that feels, as do so many of our members...a lot of us have issues surrounding health worries.
I have to admit that I am a little confused over your Rx as well. Wellbutrin is typically not prescribed for anxiety. While many medications for anxiety are also antidepressants, they are usually of the SSRI variety. Did you request to not try another SSRI after your experience with Lexapro? I ask because like I said, Wellbutrin is usually prescribed for significant depressive disorders, along with some impulse control issues, ect.
I would have a talk with your doctor and ask why this was prescribed for you. While you are there, perhaps you could talk about some alternatives in treating the anxiety, including therapy. This is an optimal treatment option, especially if you would prefer not to be on medication. (there is still no guarantee that you will not need them, but you have a chance of gaining enough tools to maybe manage the anxiety w/out them.)
In the meantime, we have a great Resource Guide here (main page, 1st post) that is filled with all sorts of information and self help ideas. Check it out and give some of the exercises a try. If practiced regularly, they can really help!:)
Keep posting with us as well. It is very healing to talk with others who understand!
Talk to you soon,
