I am sorry that you are experiencing the anxiety of past stressors and hurts. I am assuming that you have, or are going through CBT...and are looking for other recovery methods?
CBT is excellent, but there are other good therapies to help with anxiety/panic issues as well. When you mentioned past trauma, I immediately thought ot EMDR. I do not have personal experience with this, but have heard positive feedback. Here is some information to read on this:

There is also mindfullness practice, which one of our other moderators can give a good report on, as well as hypnotherapy, DBT (similar to CBT with a more patient focused/gentler angle) and self-help techniques.
