Can anybody point me to a webpage that lists support groups I can actually physically attend I'm in north Jersey by the way.could really use some help finding one don't be afraid to recommended a specific one

Hi

I live in the UK so can not point you in the right direction but would say if you go and speak with your doctor they should be able to refer you to a support group in your area.

You can try these two...I just found the first by putting in 'finding support groups in my area'

Hibbe's suggestion of asking your doctor for a referral is also good.  Your local hospistal is a thought as well.

You may also want to check with your shcool (if you are a student) or nearby church or community center.

I hope that you find something soon!  It is great that you are looking to get help and support in this way!  Keep up the good work.:)

In my case, it seems like there probably will be something found most likely through hospitals, but I'm hoping for some other groups to be found as well - the closer (but not TOO close) the better. I asked my primary, but the Dr just had the same idea I had in regard to checking out local hospitals.

I'm also considering going through another dr that may head a group or know more about groups, but $$ is an issue for me. I'm in NY.

Let me know what you're able to find.

Hey Scaredy Cat. Thanks for making my url a link. :) That's what I was going for, but copying and pasting the url didn't seem to transform it into a hyperlink. I obviously still have tricks to learn. :)

No problem...I had to have another moderator explain to me how to do it!

If you go into edit mode (click on the pencil icon) you will see an icon shaped like a globe. Once you have copied your url, click on the globe icon and paste it in...then hit okay and it will make it a link for you.

If you are doing this in a new topic post, the globe icon is there as well...no need to edit.
