I am sorry to hear of this upsetting event. It is not uncommon for those of us with anxiety to be sensitive to these types of encounters...and to keep ruminating on them, long after the fact.
To answer your question regarding medications...yes there are drugs called benzodiazapines that can be taken on an as needed basis. They have a short term affect, but the downside is that they can cause dependecy...so it is with much consideration that one should think about
using them.
A think that a better idea would be to look into therapy to help you to deal with the feelings that issues such as the one you described bring out.
CBT for example might help you to see that even though that was not a pleasant situation...you can change your reaction to it by thinking in different ways, thus relieving the negative feelings and memories of the confrontation. You could in the future feel better about
such incidents if they were to come up again...and avoid replaying the negative emotional response over and over.
