Hi and welcome!
I hope that you don't mind that I moved your post...when you tag onto an old thread, it is easy to get ignored...this way more members can welcome you.:)
I am sorry that you are going through so much right now.:( Panic is truly miserable and terrifying!
I am glad to hear that you have been checked out and all is healthy from a medical standpoint...that is always the first step to take, so good job!
It may take a little more time for your SSRI med to fully build up in your system. It can take up to 8 weeks sometimes, so you are still in the beginning/middle stages of getting relief from it.
Have you discussed therapy with your doctor? He/she may be able to recommend a therapist. You can talk to your regular doctor's office first, and if they don't refer, then you can go through your insurance program, or find one on your own if possible.
I had daily panic attacks that were relieved through therapy, but each person is unique, and their reactions and results will vary...that is why it is important to search and find something that works for you.
In the meantime, we have some great self-help ideas here on our main page under the post Anxiety/Panic Resources. It has links to breathing and relaxation exercises that are very helpful in reducing stress and tension...the things that can lead to anxiety and panic. If practiced daily, you should see a real difference.
If you noticed that your issues are worse around times of hormone fluctuations, then you are not alone! We have had many posts about this subject...and that is all the more reason to do those stress reduction practices!
Keep posting with us as well. We are here to listen and support anytime.
Talk to you soon.
