When i read through this forum I can relate to so much. So even before posting this i am fully aware that i'm not the only one feeling completely miserable. My mind is racing, my headache is back, abnormal breathing. And on top of all that my best friend just told me she won't celebrate new year's eve with me.. I feel like crap. Don't know what there is to celebrate anymore.

I must thank the lord for the most awkward christmas dinner ever. Haven't said a word all night.. It's just my mom and brother and me this time. I guess there's a first time for everything.

I just feel like drinking untill i crawl home. Even though i know that's the worst idea ever.

I hope you guys are having a better x-mas than me.

It is a tough year all around I think! I don't know what is going on...there are alot of posts sounding similar recently!  I have my own holiday angst as well...

My sister is trying to accuse me of influencing my mom and dad into not going to her house...when in fact, she is having a huge Christmas party, that has a tendency of getting wild...with a lot of people we don't even know. When I mentioned to my folks that I wasn't going, they both said they didn't want to either...somehow I am now responsible for turning them away from her? AAAGGGGHHHH...so not the case.:(

Anyway, yes it is universal....holidays are stressful!

I hope that we all can find time to breathe, be calm and accept that sometimes even though our holiday is not what we would ideally have...we can still look for the postives in there somewhere.:)

I understand where you're coming from. Just because your parents decided to stay with you does not mean they love your sis any less.

And it's indeed hard for a lot if people. You can really spot it on here.

Knowing I'm not alone
Having my mom next to me, even if it's silent. I guess it's a good thing.
One day we will find peace. We'll just have to do our best to live in the moment. Both knowing it's a though thing to do

Bless, I can relate with you. Yesterday I found myself feeling very anxious. There was no real apparent reason why my anxiety acted up. I felt so overwhelmed that I ended up crying while sitting next to my mom. I pray that one day all of us that suffer from anxiety feel the peace needed.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

Jazz, I guess it's like SC said. But knowing that the holidays are a rough patch doesn't make it any easier.

I've noticed that when I'm not feeling my anxiety full on, there's always this feeling far away. It's like my mind doing the schwarzenegger "I'll be back". I've never noticed this before but as of late it is -so i believe- just making sure that my anxiety gets triggered easier.

Yesterday was a better day for me tho. It may be selfish from my side but my best friend had just been rejected by some guy who had been playing her. She always takes this stuff really hard, and for me it's an oppurtunity to step outside my mind and help her out.

I find it quite humoristic when i read the words "I pray" on this forum. Just because since I've been facing my anxious mind, I tend to pray and talk to god more.
