Hello everyone.
I'm Jesse. For about a year now, I've been experiencing several physical symptoms, mostly on the left side of my body. They came about when I was living in Saudi Arabia when I was heavily smoking 'shisha' (flavoured tobacco). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Around the same time, I fell really bad on my head.
I have OCD and have for the last few years been controlling it on my own. The symptoms I have keep on getting worse as time goes by. They are, pressure in my head, sinuses, left chest/armpit area, especially when I lift something or carry something, the feeling of a 'lump' in the left side of my throat, muscle constriction/contraction in my left chest and neck muscles. All of these have caused me to have some panic attacks and anxiety, but I'm convinced these symptoms are not from anxiety/ocd.
I've been down a couple of paths at the hospital. They've given me an MRI, CT scan, 2 ECHO Cardiograms, and a general blood panel. Nothing has come up. I even have gone back on anti-anxiety meds just to see if they would help and they haven't. Ativan doesn't work, and whatever else I was one had no effect neither.
The feelings get brought on with any physical tension (pushups, carrything things, etc...), I also can no longer drink coffee as that 'lumpy' feeling in my throat comes back, goes to my head and causes my left temple to start 'popping'.
I'm in no pain, thank goodness, but am under severe tension from all of this. I'm not sure what to do... or what it is...
Any thoughts? Sorry if this is under the wrong category of 'anxiety' but I have no clue what to do... :(
