Congratulations on your recent promotion! While this is good news...even positive change can affect our anxiety. Add the extra responsibilities and the long hours, and it is pretty plain to see how you could be having troubles again.
That is not to say that this new position is not a positive thing...it will just take some more aggressive management of the anxiety...and some getting used to.
What would you say was the most helpful thing for you in recovery before this setback? Finding the key thing(s) that helped before and doing them again will likely help.
Daily relaxation and decompression exericises to relieve stress is essential too.
Tell yourself positive things through mantras and self-talk. Phrases such as "I can handle this." " I am capable." "I was given this promotion for a reason.", ect., will go a long way in keep your spirits up.
