Hi everyone
Well I've got some good news. I was offered a new job on Monday. I volunteer once a week at the loans department of the state museum (they actually loan out specimens, models and all kinds of things you'd see in the museum to school etc. which is pretty cool) and they had a position
open up and offered it to me! It is 4 days a week, 7 1/2 to 8 hours a day. At the moment I'm only working 11 p/w. It's a big difference And I'll be pretty tired for the first couple of weeks but I'll soon get used to it i hope. I'm a bit nervous about
it but I know the place, the staff and how they do things so it's not like I'm starting at someplace completely new.
Hope everyone is well.
Take care!

Hi Belle,
That's great news! Congrats on the new job
You sound pretty excited about
it. It sounds like a nice job and you sound like you will like it. Make sure you get your rest in between so you wouldn't be too tired.
Take Care

Thanks everyone. I'm planning to make the most of my days of and rest to keep my stress levels down. And because of the way the hours work out I also get a RDO (rostered day off) once a month which means a regular long weekend!
I'm sure there will be ups and downs but I'll keep you all up to date.

Bell the last 25 years I worked I had 15 casual days of vacation to take as needed, I used it for a 3 day
weekend once a month, I think it saved my sanity. I am so happy for you, your going to be Great! Peace

i'd definitely recommend volunteering for anyone wanting to get back into the work place, thinking of a career change or to build up their resume. this is the second job i got through volunteering. You never know where it could lead.
