I am really sorry that you are going through this worry BR! I understand completely.
I use to faint everytime I would get my blood drawn. I have only had to IV's in my life, but both times I was too preoccupied to really notice them too much (in labor...although I remember they were not fun.)
I know that it is scary to go and get your self the tests necessary to check on your health status. I don't even like to go for my yearly check ups! I have had a couple of numbers out of range on my blood tests that freak me out.
Have you thought about asking your doctor to give you something midly sedative before you were to go in for your tests?
The choice to proceed with this is yours and yours alone...but let me just give you this to think about.
*People love you. You have loved ones that need you to be in charge of your health and to do everything you can to ensure that you are there for them in the future.
*You are stronger than you know. Even if you feel that you don't have the strenght to face this, you do. You can do anything that you determine to do.
*Most of the time, things like this turn out to be nothing...and even if it is something, treatment is available...but it will most likely be nothing, and your fears will at last be relieved by knowing.
I will end this with a quote that I saw of fb today...(I am also going to put it in the thought of the week thread.)
"Overthinking ruins you, ruins the situation, twists things around, makes you worry and just makes everything much worse than it actually is ."
Best wishes while you decide what to do. We are here for you in any event, no matter what direction you want to take with this.
Comfort and courage!!
