Does Cancer Cause Anxiety ?

Good Evening Friends, I am wore out but I still have a ways to go before I sleep tonight.  Cancer is a bad *** thing to have invade your life and yes it causes trauma, anxiety, depression, and fear - so much fear.  I have an appointment with my current oncologist on Thursday, the 25th  and on the 31st of July I am meeting a new oncologist as I need to obtain a second opinion.  Isn't it scary that doctors call what they do "practice"?   Most of you know after surgery last August and 6 months of chemo, clear CT Scan and lab work in normal range I ended up with recurrence and I am back in chemo.   My stage is still IIIC but now we have added with Metastasis due to the spread of the cancer to  several periaortic retroperitoneal lymph nodes. Coming here and grabbing all the good vibes I can is part of my therapy so I hope you continue to send out good vibes and yes prayers. Well Kitt, your living with the ultimate nightmare, I don't know anyone who isn't terrified by this word. There is another side to all of this, we see you dealing with this with strength and diginity and we are amazed and yet we are scared. I do Pray for your complete recovery and I beleive God has more work for you, I know we do!

Cancer is the most evil beast I've ever heard of. The fact that it would attack a person as special as you is proof of that fact.

I continue to pray for you each and every single night. Usually I plead for your healing and for the warmth of God's love to surround you through this. Sometimes, I thank God for creating a person as special as you.

Even when that's not a part of my prayer, I'm thankful for that.

As evil as cancer is, your beauty is more powerful. The fact that you show so much love and support to everyone here, even as you fight, amazes me to no end.

I've visited your caring bridge page several times, and you're not only beautiful inside, you're beautiful on the outside. Your smile brings those two beauties together - and it is radiant! Even in the pictures where you were obviously going through chemo, your smile glows!

Cancer sucks and so does anxiety. The good in you is much more than the bad in them, though. You touch so many lives everyday! You touched mine in a powerful way.

This has gone from reassurance to an over-the-top Kitt love fest, but since it's all true, I think I'll leave it for you to read. :)

You know that you can do this... deep down in there, you do. I know you don't want to, but you can. And while you are, we're going to be praying you through it!

I know the medicines are different and the experience will be, but you've been through chemo before. You know you have backbone - and we here all know you're a woman of great strength!

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. You have every right to be sad, scared, even ticked off - but try not to let it consume you. You have too much light and too much beauty to let cancer's ugly A** take it away from you.
