I relate, specialone.
I do that all the time and drive myself NUTS! I have been having some different things going wrong with my body lately that are not anxiety related. I have convinced myself that there is something wrong with me and nobody can find it. I have been 100% miserable the last 2 weeks. I have to put on a happy face for work, but it's destroying me inside.
I noticed my fingernails have turned almost white with a dark ridge. When I googled it, I found it's called Terry's Nails and is most commonly found in people with liver failure. I thought about it constantly for 2 days, i spent an entire 8 hour work day checking every website i could and finally called my doctor in total panic. She had just checked my liver function a week before which was normal.
Anyway, this week I vowed to stop googling my symptoms and just wait until I go to the doctor next week. So far, I've only slipped once and closed it out right away before I could look.
Please try not to panic about it. IBS symptoms can be related to MANY conditions. Though the symptoms of IBS can be bad, it's just that - IBS. Nothing dangerous or deadly - just annoying. And anxiety can make those symptoms worse.
