GERD or chest wall inflammation

I cannot tell between the two. Anyone got ideas?

If you wake up choking and feeling like you have strangled while swimming, sometimes it will make
your nose, eustation tubes and back of throat burn and itch. If you have it bad enough it wont matter
what you eat it will torment you! Thats acid reflux or GERD. "The other thing I don't have any experience

i suffered from chest wall inflamation for 15 months after a viral infection i am only just pain and symptom free. i also have suffered mild gerd symptoms due to anxiety. they only thing i can advise is that when you are having symptoms take some meds that would help gerd for eg nothing magor just some tums or zantacs see if you get any releif, also chest wall pain you should be tender or painful if you press on your chest wall
