Your anxiety cannot beat you, as long as you fight back. If your symptoms won't yield, add something to your battle plan!
It is unsettling to experience the death of such a young friend. Some go young, some live past 100. Our health isn't relative. His reality doesn't change yours.
I imagine your doctors are right about the pain. They've told me that all of my physical symptoms - from stomach issues and back pain, to random swelling - are side effects of my mental illness. That's difficult to accept, but once you DO accept it, it's easier to face.
Maybe you just overdid it at the gym or didn't have enough hydration. Feeling faint at the gym is pretty common. A trick for measuring hydration - weigh yourself when you first arrive at the gym. Then, weigh yourself there as soon as you finish your workout and use the restroom. If you lost weight immediately, say 16 oz., then that's fluid loss. Try to drink that much more water during your next workout. That tip came from my trainer, who is an IFBB pro, when she found me laying passed out in the floor of the dressing room. ;)
Your week without your husband is your chance to prove to yourself how much strength you have. He can't impart peace to you - he just helps you find the peace you already possess. Plan some meditation, time for breathing exercises, etc. You'll be a stronger woman, if only a little, when he gets back.
Lastly, I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend.
Hugs!
