medication fiasco! i'm officially obsessed!help!

Ok, so as most of you know my story, I was on Celexa, then after that pooped out, tried zoloft with no results, tried Remeron twice, and it made me a complete zombie!!! No can do! Now I'm back at square 1 again tapering the zoloft etc..... I can't stand this anymore! I am literally obsessed with this whole medication thing!!!! I desperately want something to make me feel better again, and after the bad experience on zoloft, I'm left scared that nothing will work again. Could it be possible to try Lexapro, even  though it is similar to celexa? Please someone tell me that there is something out there. Not only am I driving my family nuts, I'm driving myself nuts in the process!!!! Also could try Effexor too. Please any thoughts? So sorry guys but this has been a complete nightmare for me!!!! Thanks for listening!!

I understand your pain. I have been trying to figure out what I need to do to get back to being me. It is a constant battle between hoping and hurting.

How long have you been off of the Celexa? I'm only asking because just like we can get immune to the medications our bodies can also detox from them.

Also did you do any dosage increases with the Celexa?

I personally would try the Lexapro. It is chemically similar to Celexa(I think Celexa has an extra helper drug with it). But talk to your MD about it. I find mine very informative.

Are you medicating for anxiety or depression? I don't have experience with anything except xanax and
it probably saved my life in the beginning, I had to learn to not take too much during working hours but
after I figured out what it would do I was able to use therapy and xanax to good advantage. Peace

There is something out there! Unfortunately we can't tell you what that is, because it is so completely individual what med works for whom.

Keeping in close communication with your doctor, and hanging tough until you find the med for you, is what you can do to make this the easiest and fastest process possible.

Double up on your coping skills during this time to give yourself the best possible chance during this trying time!

Thanks as always! I am starting Effexor tonight. I really hope that it helps with this. Murse chris, I was on Celexa for 8 years 20mg, tried 30, and doctor took me off in August to try zoloft, then the sx became worse, and the depression followed. I tried the zoloft for 6 weeks with no response. My main issue is anxiety. I'm so hoping that effexor will help. Thanks for listening!!
